CareerStorm Navigator™ A set of online career and life development tools that can help you reflect honestly about your career and life goals and priorities.It is best suited for those who have some ideas about their future career or education goals, but would like help clarifying their thoughts and exploring other options. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®(MBTI): The world’s most widely used personality assessment. Builds a deeper understanding of your natural strengths to explore career paths. The MBTI also provides a framework to understand others’ preferences for effective communication, teamwork and leadership development. An individual debrief with a Career Counsellor is required. Watch this short video on the MBTI.

Strong Interest Inventory®: Evaluate your interests through a standardized tool to help you recognize your interests in an objective manner so you can direct your career exploration or education decisions with more confidence.  Individual debrief with a Career Counsellor is required. SkillScan: A self-directed skills assessment that features a comprehensive profile of your transferable skills.  Evaluate the skills you have and want to use in a future career. Your detailed report includes your strengths, practical ideas for developing skills, suggested career options. Individual debrief by Career Counsellor is recommended.

Digital Challenge Cards: With the digital Challenge Cards, explore workplace challenges anytime and anywhere, from any web-enabled device. Type Focus: To help you avoid spending endless hours sifting through the good from the bad online tests, we have purchased a tool called TypeFocus to help you quickly assess your natural strengths and preferences and connect them to a range of career options. Access personality, interests and values assessments. An individual debrief by Career Counsellor is recommended. Please email acs@mcmaster.ca for free login information.
